The GO10 is the fleet GPS tracker High Point GPS installs in most commercial vehicles built after 2010, for fleets in Canada and the United States that want live location and driving data on every vehicle. It reports location, speed, trips and harsh driving events over LTE to the High Point GPS platform, and professional installers connect it at the OBD-II (or 9-pin) port through a T-harness, with no wires cut, or with a 3-wire kit where there is no port. Our Montreal team configures it and supports your staff in English and French.

## What is the GO10 GPS tracking device?

The GO10 is a fleet GPS tracker that records where each vehicle goes, how fast it travels and how it is driven, then sends that data to the High Point GPS platform over an LTE Cat 1 bis connection. Geotab describes it as a next-generation high-performance telematics device designed for modern fleets.

Its receiver follows GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou satellites at the same time, and Geotab rates it at about 1.5 m CEP-50 accuracy in open sky. A 3D accelerometer with a ±16 g range picks up harsh braking, harsh acceleration and other driving events, and the device reads engine data from the vehicle over SAE J1939 and OBD-II.

## Which vehicles does the GO10 fit?

Geotab built the GO10 for modern fleets, meaning vehicles from about 2010 onward. That covers most cars, pickups, vans and trucks a fleet runs today, from light duty to heavy duty.

Older equipment is the exception. The GO10 does not support the PWM and JPW protocols, which limits its coverage on legacy pre-2010 heavy-duty trucks and off-road equipment. Send us your fleet list and we check each vehicle's model year and ports; where the GO10 falls short, we recommend another device from the range, such as the GO Rugged for equipment exposed to water, dust and pressure washing.

## How is the GO10 installed?

The GO10 installs with a harness, not straight into the diagnostic port. On most vehicles that is a T-harness on the 16-pin OBD-II port, in a light-duty or a heavy-duty version. Where a T-harness does not suit the vehicle, a 3-wire kit hardwires the device instead.

High Point GPS installs and configures every device. Before hardware ships, we match each vehicle to the right harness, so a mixed fleet knows in advance which install each unit gets. After install, our Montreal team supports your managers and drivers in English and French.

## Can the GO10 be installed on California vehicles?

Not at this time. Geotab states that the GO10 and GO10 Plus have not been granted a CARB Executive Order, so installing them on vehicles registered or primarily operated in California is prohibited and may violate California emissions regulations. Geotab says not to install them there until it issues and communicates a CARB Executive Order number.

Geotab's CARB Executive Order covers the GO9, GO9+ and GO9 Rugged with listed T-harnesses. If your US fleet has vehicles registered or running in California, tell us during planning and we fit those vehicles with a device the Executive Order covers. Fleets in Canada and the other states are not affected by this rule.

## Does the GO10 work as an ELD in Canada?

Yes, with the Geotab Drive app. Transport Canada's list of certified electronic logging devices shows Geotab Drive on the GO10 for Android (ELD identifier GOELD3, certificate 6T72) and for iOS (GOELD4, certificate 6T73), certified by COMDriver Tech under technical standard 1.2.

In the United States, ELDs are self-certified by the provider and registered with FMCSA. Before you rely on a GO10 setup for US hours of service, we confirm its current entry on the FMCSA registered ELD list with you.

## Can the GO10 run a truck camera system and dash cams?

Yes. Geotab says its next-generation GO devices support native video synchronization with the GO Focus camera family, so video lands in the same platform as the GO10's trips. That turns GPS fleet tracking into a record you can watch: the GO10 tells you where and how fast, and the camera shows what happened.

For trucks, buses and delivery vehicles with risk beside and behind them, the GO Focus Pro truck camera system takes up to 5 auxiliary cameras for a 360° view. For most vans and pickups, the GO Focus Plus dual dash cam covers the road and the driver. We confirm the pairing for each vehicle and camera model during planning.

## What does the GO10 show in the High Point GPS platform?

Each GO10 appears in the High Point GPS platform as a vehicle on the live map, with its trips, speed, stops and driving events. Your team uses that record for dispatch, driver coaching and maintenance planning from one dashboard.

The device can grow with the fleet. It takes up to 5 IOX add-ons in combination and has Bluetooth Low Energy 5.4 built in, and Geotab lists the GO10 as compatible with GO Focus dash cams; we confirm the pairing for the camera model you choose. If the GO10 loses power, its onboard supercapacitor lets it log data to flash memory and attempt a last gasp notification, so a pulled harness shows up in your records.

## FAQ

### Is the GO10 a plug-in GPS tracker?

No, the GO10 installs with a harness. On most vehicles that is a T-harness on the 16-pin OBD-II port, in light-duty and heavy-duty versions, and some vehicles take a 3-wire hardwired kit instead. High Point GPS checks each vehicle before hardware ships, then installs and configures the device, so you know in advance which harness each unit needs.

### Will the GO10 work in older trucks and equipment?

It depends on the model year and the protocols the vehicle uses. The GO10 does not support PWM or JPW, which limits its coverage on legacy pre-2010 heavy-duty trucks and off-road equipment. Send us your fleet list and we check each unit. Where the GO10 falls short, we recommend another device from the range for that vehicle.

### Can I install a GO10 on a vehicle in California?

No, not at this time. Geotab states the GO10 and GO10 Plus have not received a CARB Executive Order, so installing them on vehicles registered or primarily operated in California is prohibited. Geotab's Executive Order covers the GO9, GO9+ and GO9 Rugged with listed T-harnesses, so we fit California vehicles with one of those devices instead.

### How accurate is GO10 GPS tracking?

Geotab rates the GO10 at about 1.5 m CEP-50 accuracy in open sky, which means half of its position fixes fall within that radius. It tracks GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou satellites at the same time. It gets a position in under 2 s on a hot start and in under 45 s on a cold start.

### Does the GO10 keep reporting if the power is cut?

Briefly, yes. An onboard supercapacitor stores enough energy for the GO10 to log its data to flash memory and attempt a last gasp notification when it loses power. That gives you a record of when a device was disconnected. Once the stored energy runs out, the device stops reporting until it is powered again.

### Is the GO10 a certified ELD in Canada?

Yes, when paired with the Geotab Drive app. Transport Canada's list of certified electronic logging devices shows Geotab Drive on the GO10 for Android (GOELD3, certificate 6T72) and iOS (GOELD4, certificate 6T73), certified by COMDriver Tech. For US operations, we confirm the current FMCSA registration for your setup before you rely on it.

### Can we install the GO10 ourselves?

You can, but we always recommend a professional installer. The GO10 connects at the OBD-II (or 9-pin) port through a T-harness with no wires cut, or with a 3-wire kit where there is no standard port. Professional installers do this work for High Point GPS across North America, including Montreal, and we confirm each vehicle's harness before any hardware ships.

### How much does the GO10 GPS tracker cost?

High Point GPS does not publish prices: we quote each fleet based on the number of vehicles and the plan features you choose. Our plans run on 3-year contracts with the equipment included free, and they can include add-ons, custom plans and bundles, for example GO10 tracking with a dual dash cam or the GO Focus Pro.

### Does the GO10 work with dash cams?

Yes. Geotab says its next-generation GO devices support native video synchronization with the GO Focus family of dash cams, so video and GPS data share one platform. We pair the GO10 with the GO Focus Plus dual dash cam or the GO Focus Pro truck camera system, and confirm the pairing for each vehicle and camera model before you order.

### Who supports the GO10 after installation?

Our Montreal team does, in English and French. We configure each device, set up your vehicles in the High Point GPS platform and answer questions from managers and drivers afterwards. If a device stops reporting, a vehicle changes or you add trucks, the same team handles it, so one company covers the hardware, the installation and the platform.
