## Wired Versus Wireless

Bluetooth pucks are the easy way to monitor a load: no wiring, ten-year battery, drop it in the tote. They sample on an interval, they depend on a radio link, and they are not calibrated instruments. For most food and beverage distribution that is fine. For a multi-compartment truck under a contract or a regulation that specifies continuous, calibrated monitoring per compartment — pharmaceuticals, certain meat and seafood programs, hospital and laboratory logistics — the wired option is the one the auditor expects. DIDCOM TPM is that option.

## What It Is

Industrial-grade temperature probes, one per compartment, wired to a controller that connects to the GO device through the IOX port. The probes are calibrated, the sampling is continuous, and the readings go to MyGeotab with the vehicle's position and time as individual data streams per compartment. Alerts fire when a compartment leaves its band, with escalation to the driver's device and the dispatcher; the per-trip log is the delivery record, and it survives out-of-coverage stretches because the controller buffers.
