Installation & Support
Professional installation across Canada and the US, plus ongoing support from a team that answers the phone.

Updated August 1, 2026
Most Geotab GO9 installs are plug-and-play: no antennas, no cut wires, done in minutes. For heavy trucks, older vehicles, or hardwired setups, High Point GPS's installer partner network handles professional installation across Canada and the United States. After go-live, customers get ongoing training and support from a team that knows the platform, not a generic call center.
What's included
- Plug-and-play install for most light and medium-duty vehicles
- Professional installer network for heavy trucks and hardwired setups
- Coverage across Canada and the United States
- Onboarding training and ongoing customer support
What a Plug-and-Play Install Actually Involves
For most light and medium-duty vehicles with a standard OBD-II or 9-pin diagnostic port, installing a GO9 is genuinely simple: plug the device in, confirm it's reporting in MyGeotab, done. No antennas to mount, no wires to cut. A single install typically takes a few minutes per vehicle, which is why fleets with straightforward vehicle mixes can often get through a rollout faster than they expect.
What Changes for Heavy-Duty or Hardwired Installs
Older vehicles without a standard OBD-II port, heavy trucks, and ruggedized equipment running GO RUGGED typically need a hardwired or 3-wire install instead, which takes longer and benefits from a technician who's done it before. High Point GPS's installer network handles this across Canada and the United States, and installs are scheduled around your fleet's actual operating hours specifically to avoid taking a vehicle out of service during a busy period.
What Support Actually Looks Like After Go-Live
Installation includes onboarding training on MyGeotab for your team, not just a hardware handoff. After go-live, support means reaching a team that actually knows the Geotab platform when something needs troubleshooting, whether that's a device issue, a reporting question, or help configuring a new module as your needs grow, rather than a generic support queue that has to look up what a GO device even is.
Frequently asked questions
How long does installation take?
A plug-and-play GO9 install typically takes a few minutes per vehicle. Hardwired or heavy-duty installs through our installer network take longer and are scheduled around your fleet's operating hours to minimize downtime.
Do you install in both Canada and the US?
Yes, High Point GPS supports fleets and coordinates installation across both Canada and the United States.
What happens if a device stops working after installation?
Contact High Point GPS support and we'll troubleshoot remotely first; if the device itself needs replacing, we coordinate that through our installer network so downtime is minimized.
Is training included, or just the physical installation?
Both. Installation includes onboarding training for your team on MyGeotab, and ongoing support is available after go-live, not just a one-time setup call.
