Ontario-Specific Filing and Paperwork Rules
Ontario IFTA runs through the Ministry of Finance's ONT-TAXS Online portal, and unlike most US states in our reference guide, Ontario charges a $10 per-set decal fee, the same as New Jersey. Ontario also requires a photocopy of the IFTA license to be carried in the vehicle alongside the original, a requirement that trips up fleets used to a single-document setup.
